Calm your mind. Trust your body.

Feel capable during childbirth

— No matter how it unfolds.

Hypnobirthing Classes

Do all the stories you’ve heard about birth make you believe it will be overwhelming, frightening, and that you will feel out of control?

Hypnobirthing can help you change that story completely.

You’ll learn how to calm your nervous system, reduce fear, and feel capable of having a positive childbirth experience — no matter what type of birth you’re planning.

Are you or your birth partner scared or dealing with trauma around childbirth?

Before taking my class, many expecting parents feel:

  • Anxious about pain or complications

  • Afraid of losing control during labor

  • Overwhelmed by conflicting advice

  • Unsure how to mentally prepare — even if they’ve taken birth classes before

Here’s the thing: fear causes muscles to tighten, interrupts the body’s natural rhythms, and can make discomfort skyrocket. Hypnobirthing addresses the root of this cycle — the subconscious fear response — allowing your body to do what it already knows how to do, and leaving you feeling calm and capable.

Hypnobirthing, that sounds a little “woo-woo” to me…

The Truth

Hypnosis has been around for decades, and science has tested its effectiveness in many ways and proved its way more than "woo woo". There are studies showing hypnosis is effective for many things, including pain management, even when other pain relief methods fail.

Science has also shown how the brain releases different hormones when someone is in fight or flight mode versus when they are calm and relaxed. When the mind and body work in harmony, fear and anxiety practically disappear.

Hypnobirthing combines the benefits of hypnosis with practical techniques and information about the birth process so expectant parents feel prepared and capable.

Hypnobirthing is:

  • Deep mental and physical relaxation

  • Nervous-system calming techniques

  • Childbirth education

  • Tools you can use in any birth setting

Hypnobirthing is NOT:

  • Mind control

  • Being unconscious

  • Losing awareness or choice

  • Only for “natural” births

You are always aware, present, and in control of your decisions.

How This Hypnobirthing Program Works

This program blends traditional childbirth education with hypnotherapy and an anxiety reducing approach for deeper, longer-lasting results.

Program Structure:

  • 4 group or private sessions

  • 2.5 hours each

  • In-person or virtual

  • Birth partners fully included (spouse, partner, friend, family member — anyone supporting you)

  • A printable guide and access to Hypnobirthing guided meditation recordings

Benefits You Can Expect

While every birth is different, hypnobirthing supports you in experiencing birth with greater ease and a sense of control.

Clients often report:

  • A calmer labor experience with reduced fear and anxiety

  • Greater sense of capability and resilience, and the ability to pivot as needed

  • Improved ability to cope with body sensations

  • Feeling grounded and supported — regardless of how birth unfolds

This program does not promise a specific type of birth or a shorter labor. It supports how you experience birth.

What Makes This Hypnobirthing Course Different

Traditional birthing classes only focus on the physical part of the experience. They offer one or two techniques - like Lamaze breathing - to help you through. And they don't teach your birth partner what they can do to support you and be part of the process. Our classes are:

  • Live classes led by a Certified Hypnobirthing Specialist and Certified Hypnotherapist

  • Taught from an anxiety-reducing and trauma-aware approach

  • Designed for all births from home births to C-Sections and everything in between

This is not just relaxation scripts or surface-level mindset work, you have the opportunity to interact with me and other expectant parents. You also get plenty of opportunities ask questions and practice the skills being taught.

FAQ

I’m planning an epidural. Is this still helpful?

Yes. Hypnobirthing supports calm decision-making, reduces anxiety, and improves coping no matter your pain-management choices.

I don’t think hypnosis will work on me.

Trance is a natural brainwave state. If you can focus, imagine, or daydream, you can access this state and reap the benefits. There is no wrong way to do hypnosis!

I don't know if I can convince my birth partner to try it.

One of the most difficult things to do is watch someone you love go through something and feel powerless to help them. This course empowers your birth partner with skills to help them manage their own anxiety, as well as practical things they can do to be an integral part of the process.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of 3 adult children and a Certified Hypnotherapist and Certified Hypnobirthing Specialist. My own childbirth experiences happened with and without medications, pitocin and epidurals, and know from experience that each person and each birth experience is unique. Had I known even 1/3 of what I do now, all of my birthing experiences would have been so much better, and I want that for all expectant parents. No matter what childbirth experience you are planning, Hypnobirthing can be helpful in every situation from home births to c-sections.
